The Rotary Club of Turton

A most enjoyable event was held at Dunscar Golf Club when the Rotary Club of Turton entertained a group of International Students from The University of Bolton.

The evening started with a welcome from President Mike Croft and then the students were invited to give a two minute introduction of themselves covering their country of birth and the subject they are studying.

This was followed by an excellent international buffet and an international quiz which proved to be great fun, this year the quiz was won by our friends Hassan and Emmanuel. The evening was a great success with sixteen Rotarians and eight wives doiing a first class job of entertaining thirty students. This successful event has been held by The Rotary Club of Turton for almost twenty years and and will continue for many years to come. The President of The Internationl Students Emmanuel Matsika invited all Rotarians to their International Evening at the University next March 13th when they will celebrate their 20th aniversary.
